The EU

Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

Che T-Shirts

For John, BLUFHigh probability that those who wear Che Guevara T-Shirts have no idea who he really was.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

Pajamas Media has a post on Occupy LA, the one year anniversary.  The report noted that some were wearing Che T-Shirts.  do the younger people not know who Che was?  Surely they know.  Thus, can I assume that those with the T-Shirts and those around the wearers are open about their homophobia?  Can I assume that those wearing the Che T-Shirts are for giving guns to sociopaths?  Can I assume those wearing the T-Shirts are happy with people settling their differences by executing those they disagree with?

What a mess!

At least they aren't wearing Hitler or Stalin or Mao or Pol Pot T-Shirts.  Compared to those mass murderers, Che is small time.

The story has photos that make it NSFW (or little children), but if you have to check it out, here is the link.  My only other comment is, "you have been warned".

A facet of human nature is that we tend to cherry pick what we like about certain celebrities, while minimizing the negatives.

For instance, I've seen a bunch of this witty clip of Ronald Reagan, zinging Jimmy Carter during a debate.

Yet, Reagan's admirers seem to comepletely unremember the fact Reagan committed treason, via the Iran-Contra affair.
