For John, BLUF: Chicago has very strong gun control laws, which don't appear to work. Nothing to see here; just move along.
NBC/MSNBC Talker Ed Schultz has decried the lack of gun laws in Chicago, apparently based on the 500 gun homicides this last year.
Over at Hot Air, ALLAHPUNDIT raises questions about Mr Schultz's analysis of the situation (hint—Chicago has very strong gun laws):
So I’m thinking, maybe he was just being sarcastic? I.e. he’s saying gun laws “apparently don’t even exist in Chicago” because he thinks the cops have done such a terrible job enforcing them and getting guns off the street? He can’t possibly have meant it the way this sounds. Dude?Regards — Cliff
