For John, BLUF: Laws are not necessarily fair, or insightful. Nothing to see here; just move along.
Doctor Helen Smith, writing in USA Today, argues "How the law punishes boys who are raped". One of the conclusions I draw from this is that Statutory Rape Laws are not really applied when the victim is a male.♠
If the rapist becomes pregnant, the minor male victim may be required to pay child support. One wonders if the rape victim has a choice in the event of pregnancy. Isn't rape one of the reasons for abortion?♥
Hat tip to the Instapundit, who is flogging his Wife's Column.

♠ There is the argument that the boys enjoy it.
♥ Actually this was just a rhetorical question. What are the limits? Does the table rotate when it is a case of rape?

Mandatory abortion of all fetuses conceived if either parent is under the age of 16 would obviate all the child support payments in the cases of statutory rape. So, if you don't like this alternative then propose another remedy where all the victims, either male or female, are protected against this violent sexual assault. GET YOUR BIOLOGICAL FACTS RIGHT! Orgasms can be FORCED upon EITHER GENDER against the will of the victim as a strict biological consequence of the assault.
Really. Just go with the perp pays the bill. The bringing up of abortion is just a way of trying to poison the well.
