The EU

Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

Aniconism

For John, BLUFYes, a threat to your First Amendment Rights.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

The Word of the Day is:

It would appear that this only threatens 1st Amendment rights IF the USA is under Sharia rule. Since we aren't...who cares about aniconism?

Well, there was Yale University Press not being willing to publish copies of the Danish Cartoons in a book on the Danish Cartoons.  In fact, I think the MSM pretty much ducked the pictures.

So, it reaches out to us.

I am not sure that it is because of aniconism......rather...it is because of a liberal sense of kumbaya and standing up for the minority view. A bistro in VT is in a real bind now because they removed an ad talking about the wonderful bacon they serve with their breakfast...and ONE Muslim complained that it offended him....so it was removed. No word about the bacon. Listen, this is the US, and it is time for Americans to proclaim their freedom from this sort of chickenlittle fear tactics. Islam needs to understand that they are not going to win here and if they are offended by American values and behaviors, they have that right to be offended...and are free to go elsewhere. Muslims are not going to influence me in any way....unless you call digging in an influence outcome.

Yale is a hotbed of liberalism if not outright communism.
