The EU

Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

Europe and the US

Well, it is Fox News and we all know that the source is not noticeably biased toward the President, but still, from other things I have been reading, this makes some sense.

When it was Bush 43 we knew it was hard to make the sell to the EU.  For example, there was SecDef Rumsfeld talking about New Europe and Old Europe.  The MSM reported and we knew that it was bad—bad for us and bad for Europe, because we were not listening.

Now, with President Bush's successor we are hearing rumbles of the same thing and I am not sure what to think.
  • Are we still wrong?
  • Or is Europe wrong?
    • And, if it is Europe that is wrong, are they still wrong or did they just become wrong?
Are there any thoughts out there?

Two things:
- David Cameron is a Brit. That is not Europe. And he is a Maggie Thatcher wannabe.

- Many European nations, when talking STRICT austerity measures, are still covering ALL their citizens with health care and other social programs that American "welfare queens" can only dream about.

Austerity! pfft...

I've been wondering. Daft GOPers have always maintained that Bill Clinton's economic powerhouse was a legacy of H.W.'s Admin.

When can this economy be given back to W.?

I apologize.  I was being way to cryptic.  I fully agree with Jack that the UK is not Europe.  I have seen the headline, "Europe cut off by fog in Channel".

I was referencing the President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso, who "said the EU-U.S. relationship was not living up to its potential."

As for "W", the daft can point to him through at last 2014.  The rest of us, those of us who are not sure Lord Keynes got it right, might pick 2011 or so.
