The EU

Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

Unemployment 9.1%

The Department of Labor reports the unemployment rate as basically unchanged from last month.  That is to say, up 0.1% from April.

and that STILL does not reflect the real figure...the one that includes those who have just given up on employment altogether.....

And the Obama administration is unleashed more and more regulations that will further degrade employment in the US (other than Federal employment to administer the blizzard of regulations being "promulagated".....I LOVE that word...it sounds so stuffy and official). BUT....the good news is that we are well on our way to a total WELFARE state.....and Nanny is going to take care of us all.....

As to nealcroz, the real number I heard today was 11.4%. I think there is no doubt that we have avoided a double dip recession in favor of a long slow depression.
