The EU

Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

Continuing Fallout From WWII

The Instapundit asserts:
Ireland, like Sweden, has gotten a pass for behavior during and after World War II that doesn’t deserve a pass.
Is he correct or is he over the top on this?

The Instapundit is:

Oh come on Instapundit.....aren't there enough bones being picked all around the planet that we don't need to dredge stuff up from over 60 years ago?? And so what if they did get a pass??? Who will make the judgement and what is their "punishment?"

Let me see if I understand Insty's position. Ireland made the political decision to remain neutral. These guys deserted the Irish Army so that that they could violate the Irish neutrality laws by enlisting in the British (not too distant enemy) army. For this, Insty is upset that they were barred from public employment. Am I missing something?

What did the Swedes do?

P.S. I'd hate to see what he has against the Swiss!

One voter [from the larger Krieger family] said, privately:

"I cast my vote!  I think the BBC just needs to keep a steady stream of anti-Irish propaganda going so people don't stop and think that it is 2012, and they are still engaged in a hostile occupation of Ireland.  England, not the BBC, but we all know who the BBC works for."

Yes, the Krieger family has Irish roots; indentured servants and all that.  Plus some Welsh and English.
