The EU

Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

Catch Phrase

I liked this catch phrase:
Sic Bisquitus Disintegrat...

That is the way the cookie crumbles
Used by many, I am sure, but in this case by Marc W.D. Tyrrell, Ph.D., Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies, Senior Research Fellow, The Canadian Centre of Intelligence and Security Studies, NPSIA, Carleton University.

Here is a line from a paper on his web site:
Reputation is what other people know about you.  Honor is what you know about yourself.
I like it.

I wonder if I can work that latin phrase into one of my OCS class presentations.

Hi Cliff,

Thanks, I like it :-). BTW, the reputation / honour line is from Lois McMaster Bujold's A Civil Campaign. Sometimes the best distinctions come from fiction...

Cheers,

Marc

Thanks, Marc and to Desert Guardsman I say go for it!

About the only thing I remember from Basic Cadet Summer was a "shower formation" when some upper classman asked me if I was putting out 100%.  I said "No Sir!"  His response was something along the lines of "What, why not!?!?  My response was:  "If you thought I was putting out 100% you wouldn't have asked me."

He seemed to walk away quickly and on reflection I suspect that he was probably going off somewhere to laugh.

Good luck.
