For John, BLUF: Aren't we all part of the human race?
Per Mary Katherine Ham, over at Hot Air, the VW Super Bowl ad is facing some controversy. Frankly, it has been called racist.
It has a man from Minnesota, sometimes seen as a dour group, (a Caucasian, perhaps one of the frozen chosen) speaking with a Jamaican accent, encouraging his co-workers to be happy. It is humor through juxtaposition.
It was funny.
UPDATE: Title typo.

That people even have the time to search out and whine about this sort of thing is to me, the height of what happens in a Nanny State where all you have to do is breathe and have a pulse and blood pressure to have Big Brother care for all you r needs....and that leaves you with plenty of spare time to find something to carp about.
We have gone far too far. In my view, if you don't like something, then don't watch it, eat it, do it, or whatever is required to be exposed to it. I like my guns. I love my Lord. If that offends you, tough, take it down the street. My rights are not affected by your assumption that YOUR rights trump mine.
Geez!!!!!!!!!

A closeted dirty hippie. Who knew!?
For those keeping track of such things, I created and deleted two comments, trying to do a demo of commenting for a friend. I hope the first will comment in the future.
Someone to balance Neal and Jack. :-)
