The EU

Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

S&P—"Not the TeaParty"

Blogger/Reporter Ed Morrissey, over at Hot Air had a point on the downgrade of our rating by S&P.  If you open the Envelope with the three pertinent Clue (Cluedo for you Brits) Cards, you will not find "Tea Party" amongst them.

On the other hand, your mileage may differ.  If it does, I recommend you check your odometer's calibration.

I am not making a case for my intellect as that case cannot be easily or convincingly made. However.....even in my moronic state I've been saying for months...it's NOT the lack of revenue (even IF we get all those evil money grubbing, private jet flying millionaires and billionaires to spit up their fair share)....it's NOT the debt ceiling that SUPPOSEDLY cures the deficit (which is ONLY the delta between what you have to spend and what you WANT to spend).

It is the DEBT!!!!! And it is the DEBT that is killing us.....and WILL kill us in the end.

The only way you erase DEBT is to pay it off and stop accumulating MORE.

And that is the singular message of the Tea Party terrorists...who.....by the way only came on the scene in January of 2011 having only been elected in November of 2010....

Why are the Dems/liberals/progressives screaming about the TP folks? Because they insist on dealing with paying down the debt and not accumulating more by borrowing more? Tax and spend doesn't work. It hasn't worked. Look where we are today. It didn't work under Reagan and it isn't working under Obama.

Even if you raised the tax rate to 75% flat tax on those evil, selfish rich people, it wouldn't even pay the interest on this year's debt. Do the math. So far this year, our INTEREST payments on our debt have amounted to nearly $500B.....and we are not even 3/4 of the way to 2012.

When a family runs out of money and can't borrow more and faces bankruptcy.....they LOGICALLY go into safety/survival mode (well...most anyway.....the smart ones at least) and they buy only essentials....stuff to get them to tomorrow....and anything they have left over from shelter, food, and bare bones essentials like heat and light and water.....they pay off the debt. That is precisely what a court administered bankruptcy plan does.

Instead, this Administration has submitted the largest budget request in the nation''s history....and is upset because "a bunch of terrorists" have obstructed the checking account.

EVERYONE needs to do their bit to save ourselves from going over the cliff.....Rich folks may not have their loopholes....the 51% of the American population who DON"T pay ANY taxes need to start.....and the entire entitlement thing needs to be examined and fairly restructured.....beginning with Congressional entitlements...which are abusive.

NOT the Tea Party.....

An important quote: “The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government can not pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, "the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006
