sic semper tyrannis

Shouted at the Wisconsin State Fair opening ceremonies, at which (Republican) Governor Scott Walker officiated—sic semper tyrannis.

Isn't that Actor John Wilkes Booth's line at Ford Theater?  But, being an actor, maybe he picked up that line from some play featuring Brutus, from back when Rome was dealing with tyrants.

Hat tip to the Althouse.

Gov. Walker is a GOOD tyrant.

There are NO "good" tyrants.

Washington recognized that.  Thus only two terms.  The Second Roosevelt forgot that.

Agree...but then....Walker is no tyrant.....any more than the Tea Party members are domestic terrorists as members of the House Democratic Caucus claim. When you can't beat someone in politics, you call them reprehensible names in hopes that if you say it enough times, the public will agree.

Obama added 608 brand new regulatory rules in July 2011 alone costing the American taxpayer $9.5B....all without ANY advice or consent. I think THAT qualifies for "tyrannical."
