♠ Her story made its way into the draft of an elegant coffee table book entitled U.S. Special Operations Forces. Author John Collins says of the draft that one Civil War vignette concerned Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railway. Colonel Collins says he "wept when it, along with several others, fell on the cutting room floor to conserve space because, to the best of my knowledge and belief, no evasion and escape network any time anywhere exceeded its scope and success."
