Mimi Parseghian had a good post earlier today at Left in Lowell, commenting on Councilor Bud Caulfield saying he was not going to run again, but retire; going out on top, so to speak.
And the first comment on the post is a good one also and not just because someone I know is listed in it. Democracy grows because we work at it and it shrinks when we don't. When it shrinks it is a bad thing for the vast majority of us.
