Falling Fertility Rate

For John, BLUFYou are home free, but your grandchildren could see the adverse consequences of sex selection abortions and overall falling birth rates.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

Demographics is Destiny.  Blogger Renee Astee tells us population growth will peak in 15 years and then it is down hill.

The line "Demography is Destiny" is from French Mathematician Auguste Comte (1798-1857).

The Earth won't moan upon our demise and The Divine has plenty of other test tubes on the bunsen burner, yo.

PS. Any virus, rampant, is a "bad" virus.

Increasing Poverty in Older Age Will Lead to Adverse Health Outcomes, Experts Say

"In 2010, British pensioners were already at greater risk of poverty in all but three other European Union countries, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Spain. The authors argue that the failure of the economy to grow threatens to reduce older people’s access to advanced medical care, such as cancer treatment, where outcomes at older ages lag well behind those in some other high income countries.
Professor McKee said: “If the UK’s economic situation deteriorates further, there will be increasingly adverse effects on older people’s health. This will have profound consequences for an increasingly cash-strapped and fragmented health system.”"
